SBI Card has announced a revision in its fee structure that will take effect from 1 November 2025. Under the new policy: A 1% fee will be levied on education-related payments made through third-party apps (like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, etc.). However, payments made directly to schools or colleges via their official websites or via POS will not incur this charge. Wallet load transactions above ₹1,000 will also attract a 1% fee. These changes aim to discourage indirect payment routes and limit misuse of credit cards for funding wallets. Cardholders are advised to review their transaction methods and prefer direct payment channels where possible to avoid additional costs.
