HDFC to Launch ‘Infinia Bharat,’ RuPay Edition of Its Flagship Infinia Card

HDFC Bank is preparing to roll out Infinia Bharat, a RuPay network version of its high-end Infinia credit card. This marks a strategic move to blend premium card benefits with the RuPay infrastructure, targeting more inclusive usage across domestic transactions. The Infinia Bharat is expected to support UPI-credit card payments, enabling cardholders to link the card with UPI apps and earn rewards on UPI transactions. It will maintain many of the perks associated with the original Infinia line, such as elevated rewards, lounge access, and lifestyle benefits, but under RuPay’s framework. Bank insiders suggest that this will be one of the first RuPay-powered premium credit cards with such a rich feature set. The move is seen as HDFC’s attempt to cater to a broader base of affluent customers who prefer the RuPay ecosystem.
